Baton Rouge-based Holcomb Resources Inc. bought Dupree Apartments for $1.2 million in a deal filed Thursday.
The Spanish Town apartments include one fourplex and one duplex. Originally built in 1924, the buildings were damaged by a 2009 fire and five years later the fourplex was renovated and the duplex was rebuilt.
The acquisition was for investment purposes, Holcomb Resources president Danny Moran says, and renovations are not necessary.
The Historic Preservation Commission granted a historic designation for one of the two buildings in 2014.
STR One LLC was the seller, owned by Ben Stalter of Maestri Murrell Commercial Real Estate.
